WEB’S Cakes, the holding company for CakeLove
WEB’s Cakes is a holding company for the retail and media ventures of celebrity-chef Warren Brown, the owner and founder of the original DC-based pastry shop, CakeLove, and host of the Food Network’s Sugar Rush program. Manning Sossamon provided legal and business counsel on the structuring and growth of the holding company, negotiated commercial leasing and other arrangements for five new locations in the DC Metropolitan Area, and now provides the ongoing services of a general counsel advising on organization, operations, and management of Mr. Brown’s various enterprises.
Dynacorp, a telecommunications network concern
Dynacorp, the parent company of a multi-million dollar Iraqi telecommunications venture, approached Manning Sossamon to negotiate investment terms and equipment supply relationships for an extensive wireless telecommunications network in Iraq. When Dynacorp’s investors and equipment suppliers did not perform as required by contract, Manning Sossamon represented the company in the resulting large-scale litigation.
